Libertarian Project Promoting Agricultural Education

In an emotional event that brought together members of the educational community and committed collaborators, the Toribio Berrio Sosa School in Juan Díaz celebrated the inauguration of its new school garden on August 30
.
This initiative is an integral part of the Libertaria Project, a collaboration between the educational institution and Grupo Melo, which is dedicated to providing support to schools close to its operations.

Spanning approximately 396 square meters on the school grounds, this garden represents a unique opportunity to promote agricultural and nutritional education among students.

The first phase of implementation has given life to a diversity of crops, including beans, cucumber, papaya, paprika, otoe, cilantro, pineapples, corn, turmeric, ginger, lemongrass, chives and lettuce.

These products, once mature, will be integrated into the school cafeteria, thus enriching the students' diet and promoting healthy habits from an early age.

The success of this project has been possible thanks to the unified commitment of multiple actors. Parents, the local community, teachers, students and Grupo Melo volunteers have worked hand in hand to carry out this valuable initiative.

The inauguration of the school garden at the Toribio Berrio Sosa School marks a significant step in the promotion of agricultural education, sustainability and community collaboration.

This joint effort between the educational community and Grupo Melo is a testimony to the transformative power of education and corporate commitment for the benefit of present and future generations.
